The Overview

Before stepping into complex IT product management, I built my foundation in rigorous art direction. For years, I managed the end-to-end visual identity and omnichannel campaigns for a diverse portfolio of top-tier FMCG and health supplement brands, including ShaoYeh, Holdbody, and Return. This deep-rooted design expertise ensures that my technical products never compromise on premium visual aesthetics.

The Challenge: Fragmented Brand Identities

For fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), brand consistency is everything. However, marketing campaigns often suffer from a severe disconnect between offline physical packaging and online digital touchpoints. The challenge was to create a cohesive, scalable visual language for multiple brands that looked equally premium on a printed box on a retail shelf as it did on a 6-inch mobile screen.

The Solution: End-to-End Art Direction

I didn’t just design standalone banners; I architected complete visual ecosystems. I led the art direction from the ground up—crafting the initial Key Visuals (KV) and physical packaging, and then seamlessly adapting those assets into responsive e-commerce interfaces, landing pages, and social media campaigns. This ensured the customer's offline retail experience perfectly mirrored their online shopping journey.

The Solution: Designing for Commercial Conversion

Beautiful design is useless if it doesn't drive business results. Whether I was crafting promotional landing pages for Yakult or optimizing the mobile UI for health supplements, I always applied a commercial lens. By utilizing clear visual hierarchies and strategically placed Call-To-Actions (CTAs), I transformed passive brand awareness campaigns into active, revenue-generating sales funnels.

The Outcome: Unified & Profitable Brand Experiences

By centralizing the art direction across all touchpoints, we successfully launched numerous high-impact campaigns that elevated the premium positioning of our brands. This unified omnichannel approach eliminated visual inconsistencies, accelerated our campaign time-to-market, and significantly boosted cross-platform engagement and online sales conversions.

What I'd Do Differently

Establish a Universal Design System earlier: When managing campaigns for multiple sub-brands simultaneously, recreating digital assets from scratch is a bottleneck. If I could go back, I would have pushed to build a modular UI component library much earlier to standardize digital rollouts and save the design team hundreds of execution hours.

What I Learned

Aesthetics must serve function: A beautifully designed package that is illegible on a mobile e-commerce thumbnail is a commercial failure. I learned that true design excellence lies at the intersection of stunning aesthetics and practical usability.

Brand equity lives in the details: Consistency builds trust. Ensuring that the exact hex code, typography, and visual tone matched across a printed poster, a video ad, and a checkout page taught me that meticulous attention to detail is what separates a good brand from a great one.
